Drying Herbs

Drying Herbs- Printable Version

Ingredients/Supplies:

herbs of choice (oregano, basil, thyme, rosemary)
string
food processorĀ or mortar and pestle
jars for herbs

Directions:

  1. Pick and clean herbs. Dry completely!
  2. Tie herbs in small bundles and hang them upside down in a safe place for about 4 weeks.
  3. Take the herb leaves off the stems and grind until fine.
  4. Store in glass jars.

Notes:

Make sure your herbs dry COMPLETELY before hanging them to dry out to prevent mold.

I found cute little glass jars at Hobby Lobby for only $1.50 each.
